The Auxiliary role is a special support position within the department. Auxiliary members provide much needed non-firefighting assistance at large incidents. Most typically, these members provide support to the department by giving their talents where they are needed. Examples include:

• Computer support
• Assistance at fundraising events
• Cleaning
• Filling air bottles
